Meteor have worked with the Environment Agency (EA) for over 20 years, providing monitoring and control solutions for water and air monitoring. We specialise in providing complete solutions, covering: - Data collection sensors (water quality sondes, probes)
- Control systems for pumps / weir gates etc

Meteor can provide a range of services from supply of equipment through to a complete managed system. We work closely with our customers to provide a level of service which is beyond that offered by traditional communications companies.  We have full workshop facilities and complete all design, test and prototyping in house. We also integrate and test the complete solution at our premises before site installation commences. This gives the benefits of great flexibility to adapt the scope of the equipment and to build bespoke systems in short timescales.
Meteor have worked in conjunction with Thames EA to jointly develop a range of equipment ideal for Water Quality Monitoring Systems (WQMS). These range from static site monitors through to hand portable units deployable within 30 minutes of arrival on sites - please see our products and solutions pages for more details. These have been used with a wide range of industry standard data collection equipment, including YSI and hydrolab data sondes, ISCO autosamplers and PHOX sensors. Meteor have extensive experience in the deployment and maintenance of environmental monitoring equipment. Covering all aspects of not just the telemetry link, but also the data collection sensors and supporting infrastructure. We offer a service which includes: - Comprehensive site survey with recommendations to meet the requirements
- Installation and commissioning of the chosen solution
- A service package to ensure continued accurate data collection
 All data is stored at the Meteor Data Centre, where data is hosted on secure database and internet servers. From the data centre there are a number of methods to distribute the information in real time, including: - Web hosted - Log onto your data from any web browser, including Blackberry
- No additional software required
- Link to IT infrastructure - Feed data into existing IT infrastructure using SQL, XML
The data presentation software includes powerful tools for data presentation and manipulaiton, including full alarm capabilities and trend analysis. A full alarm suite is available whereby on the activation of certain preset alarm conditions the user can be informed by SMS, email or voice. These can include: - High / Low alarms
- Out of alarm condition
- Compound alarms (ie DO + Conductivity paramaters)
