Meteor Communications offer a range of telemetry units which use Meteor Burst radio technologies to give long range, reliable data communication from virtually any location. All units are web enabled, allowing instant access to data.
Due to their low power requirement and comprehensive network coverage these units are well suited to applications where traditional communication channels such as GPRS, GSM and short range radio are unusable.
All Meteor radio telemetry units report into the Meteor Radio Data Network, which consists of five primary Master Station hubs which cover the UK and surrounding waters. Each hub is directly linked to the Meteor Data Centre, ensuring that data transfer from site to screen is instantaneous.
With full compatibility between Meteor Radio and GPRS units integrated monitoring networks can be established which are seamless and combine the benefits of both communication paths.
With a wide range of input options these stations can collect data from most instruments, and are equipped with outputs capable of controlling multiple items of equipment, from autosamplers to pumps and weir gates.
The range consists of two units:
The 971H has a 100W radio to give 200 mile plus range, ensuring data can be collected from even the most remote locations.
The unit is equipped with four configurable analogue inputs, 64 configurable digital inputs, 4 power outputs and RS232 ports. Internal storage for up to ten days data collection.
The enclosure is military grade aluminium construction with mounting options for integration into existing infrastructure or for lone installation.
Average power consumption is 5-30mA. Each meteor data transmission, although high power, lasts only a few milliseconds. This reduces the average power consumption to a very low level.
The station can support high real time data rates, with acquisition periods from 60 seconds.
It retains four analogue inputs, four power outputs, eight digital inputs and RS232 making it a very versatile unit for connection of multiple inputs.
Average power drops to 4-18mA, making the unit highly suitable for locations where power is an issue.
